Teen Arrested After Strong-Arm Robbery

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from December 26 through January 17.  

   Police report that 16-year-old Germantown male has been arrested in connection with a strong-arm robbery occurred in the 19900 block of Century Boulevard at approximately 3:15 pm on January 3. The suspect assaulted a juvenile male victim and took his property. The suspect was arrested.

   Police also report an aggravated assault occurred at the 7-Eleven located at 19786 Crystal Rock Drive at approximately 11:30 pm on December 29. Police say that Black male suspect between 25- and 30-years-old displayed a weapon.

   Police report an attempted residential burglary occurred in the 11400 block of Palace Circle between approximately 10:00 pm on December 29 and approximately 6:00 am on December 30.

   A residential garage burglary occurred at a residence in the 20400 block of Foxwood Terrace and a vehicle was stolen from the same residence in the early morning hours of December 31. No force; vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked and the suspect(s) used the garage door opener and spare key left in that vehicle to steal the other vehicle. The stolen vehicle was recovered on December 31.

   Another residential garage burglary and a theft from vehicle occurred at the same residence in the 13600 block of Woodcutter Circle in the early morning hours of January 9. No force, vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked and the suspect(s) used the garage door opener left in the vehicle to open the garage door; property was taken.

   MCPD report that a commercial burglary occurred at the Dayspring Silent Retreat Center located at 11301 Neelsville Church Road between approximately 12:00 pm on January 2 and approximately 10:29 am on January 4. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

   Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between December 26 and December 31. Affected streets include Frederick Road, Observation Court, Brook Run Drive, Mill Pond Terrace, and Gunners Branch Road. No force; two vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry in the other vehicles; property was taken.

   MCPD reported that multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between December 26 and December 29. Affected streets include Westend Court, Galway Bay Circle, Waterside Drive, Club Hill Drive, and Country Ridge Drive. Force was reported in three events, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

   Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between December 26 and December 31. Affected streets include Charity Lane, Charity Court, Perrone Drive, Highstream Drive, Tilford Court, McFarlin Drive, and Lake Geneva Way. No force, four vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry in the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

   Another group of multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between January 2 and January 8. Affected streets include Gateshead Circle, Maycrest Way, Stoney Point Place, and Observation Court. No force, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; property was taken.

   Police said multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between January 6 and January 8. Affected streets include Shelldrake Circle, Shelldrake Court, and Valley Park Drive. No force, two vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

   MCPD report multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between January 2 and January 9. Affected streets include the 12400 block of Great Park Circle and the 12400 block of Dancrest Drive. No force, two vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; coins and property was taken.

   Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between January 3 and January 9. Affected streets include Bristlecone Way, Shadyside Way, Crystal Rock Drive, and Waters Road. Force was reported in one event, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; property was taken.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Jan. 20.
