Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will host a budget forum, in Germantown on Monday, Jan. 30 at the BlackRock Center for Arts, located at 12901 Town Commons Drive. The forum will begin at 7:00 pm. This is will be the last of five budget forums the County Executive held throughout the county in January. Residents are invited to attend and provide input about priorities for the Fiscal Year 2018 Operating Budget.
“Public forums are the residents' opportunity to tell me what is important to them as I prepare next year’s operating budget for submission to the County Council on March 15,” said Leggett. “Input from residents for the FY18 budget is crucial in helping me determine the County’s budget priorities.”
Additional forums in other areas of the county are have been taking place throughout the county. Another budget forum will take place on Wednesday, Jan 25 at the Silver Spring Regional Services Center in Silver Spring.
The County Executive announces his Recommended Fiscal Year 2018 Operating Budget on March 15. The County Council approves the operating budget at the end of May.
