Four Cars Stolen Over Thanksgiving Weekend

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from November 14 through Nov. 29.

   Montgomery County Police report that four vehicles were stolen from residences over the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend, two from the same residence.

   The first was a car stolen from a residence where the victim’s teenage son was throwing a party in the 100 block of Royal Crown Court in Germantown on Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve when police suspect that party guests entered the garage and stole the car. Police say the garage door was open and the vehicle was left unlocked, and the keys were left in the vehicle, when in the early morning hours of Thursday, Nov. 24 two black male suspects between the ages of 15 and 20 are believed to stolen the vehicle. It was later recovered three days later on Sunday, Nov. 27.

   According to police, two vehicles were stolen from the same residence in the 23900 block of Basil Park Circle in Clarksburg in the early morning hours of Saturday, Nov. 26. One vehicle, a Honda Accord, was stolen off from the street in front of the house and a second vehicle, a Honda Pilot was stolen from where it was parked in the driveway. According to the victim, both vehicles were locked and police are unsure how the car thieves were able to enter the vehicle. Police say the incident happened between 3:00 am and 11:00 on Nov. 26.

   Also overnight on Saturday, Nov. 26, police say another vehicle was stolen from the 23000 block of Meadow Mist Road in Clarksburg between 9:30 pm on Friday, Nov. 25 and 3:30 am Saturday, Nov. 26. The vehicle was left unlocked with the key fob inside the vehicle. It was recovered later that same day.

   5th District Police responded to five commercial burglaries in the last two weeks of November.

   The first occurred at Carroll Motor Fuels located at 23418 Ridge Road in Germantown between approximately 9:00 pm on November 14 and approximately 6:30 am on November 15. No signs of forced entry; cash was taken.

   A second commercial burglary occurred at Subway located at 18010 Mateny Road at approximately 10:15 pm on November 19. Forced entry; cash was taken.

   According to police, three commercial burglaries occurred at Churchill Executive Office Park located at 8 Executive Park Court in Germantown over the Thanksgiving Holiday between November 23 and November 25. Forced entry was made into all three offices; property was taken.

   A fourth commercial burglary occurred over the Thanksgiving Holiday at Germantown Dental Office located at 19513 Doctors Drive between November 23 and November 25. Forced entry; cash was taken.

   A fifth commercial burglary on Thanksgiving Day occurred at CVS in the Cloppers Mill Shopping Center at 18080 Mateny Road at approximately 2:50 pm on Thursday, Nov. 24. Forced entry; property was taken.

   Montgomery County Police arrested two women in connection with theft from vehicles in the 20700 block of Crystal Hill Circle in Germantown. 5th District officers responded to the neighborhood in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 22 for reports of suspicious persons looking in vehicles.

   Police arrested Kamille Dominique Twyman, 30, of North Summit Drive in Gaithersburg and Telena Mariika Henderson, 32, of Highstream Court in Germantown. According to MCPD, both were apprehended as they were inside a vehicle searching for valuables on Crystal Hill Circle.

   MCPD reported a large number of thefts from vehicles including three thefts from vehicles occurred between November 19 and November 22. Affected streets include Coral Grove Place, Amber Hill Court, and Station Street. No force, unknown means of entry; property was taken.

   Police also reported three more thefts from vehicles which occurred in the early morning hours of November 22. Affected streets include Chrisman Hill Terrace and Chrisman Hill Court. No force, one vehicle was left unlocked; cash and property were taken.

   MCPD reported multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in the early morning hours of November 26. Affected streets include Country Ridge Drive, Station Street, and Bent Willow Circle. No force, unknown means of entry; property was taken.

   Multiple thefts from vehicles also occurred in the early morning hours of November 26. Affected streets include Yellowwood Drive, Basil Park Circle, Rainbow Arch Drive, Cypress Spring Road, Skylark Road, and Clarksburg Square Road. No force, two vehicles were left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Dec. 15.
