Santa to Visit Beginning This Weekend; Germantown Volunteer Fire Dept. Releases 2016 Schedule

Santa Claus is coming to town... This weekend!  The Germantown Volunteer Fire Department have released the 2016 schedule for Santa Rides.

   Santa will start touring Germantown with members of the Germantown Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, Dec. 3 in the Waters Landing, Martin Luther King Middle School, and Lake Seneca area of town.  He will continue on Sunday, Dec. 4 in neighborhoods near Northwest High School, Ronald McNair Elementary School, Kingsview Middle School and the Matsunaga Elementary School area.

   On Thursday, Dec. 8, Santa and firefighters will visit the Daley Elementary School neighborhoods. Santa will return to Germantown on Saturday, Dec. 10 and tour the neighborhoods near the Roberto Clemente Middle School and Christa McAuliffe Elementary School. On Sunday, Dec. 11, Santa will tour the Milestone section of Germantown, and the neighborhoods around Gibbs Elementary School and Sally Ride Elementary School.

   Santa will finish up his annual tour of Germantown on Tuesday, Dec. 13 to visit the neighborhoods around Germantown Park and Clopper Mill Elementary School, as well the area around Germantown Elementary School.

   Santa and the members of the GVFD remind parents that Santa unable to visit every street in every neighborhood. They ask everyone to be safe and keep an eye out for Santa. Firefighters remind everyone that the kids will hear Santa and his elves coming.

   The Germantown Volunteer Fire Department is also, once again selling Christmas Trees this year. They are offering Fraser Fir trees from Indiana, Pa.  Tree Prices are: 6-7-foot trees for  $45; 7-8-foot trees for $55; 8-9-foot trees for $65; 9-10-foot trees for $70.

   The Tree Lot is open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and Monday through Friday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

   The GVFD will also host Cookies and Milk with Santa on Saturday, Dec 10 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
