Seneca Names Scholar Athletes of Month of October

Jesse Irvin, Athletic Director at Seneca Valley announced that junior Olivia Campbell and senior Giresse Achouakong have been named the Seneca Valley Scholar Athletes for the Month of October.

   Olivia Campbell is a junior on the varsity field hockey team.  She is a leader both in the field and in the classroom. She currently has a 4.0 and is a full IB Diploma Candidate. She is in all IB or Honors classes.

   “Olivia gives 100 percent at all practices and games,” said Seneca Valley Athletic Director Jesse Irvin. “Her dedication to athletics and academics is remarkable. She always encourages her teammates, and exemplifies the true meaning of being a student athlete.”

   Giresse Achouakong is a senior on the Cross Country team. He is a strong team athlete, leader and diligent student. Achouakong has all A’s and B’s in IB/AP classes his senior year.  He is not only one of the top team scorers for the boys cross country team, he is also a motivator for both girls and boys.

   “Giresse always leads by example both on and off of the course, modeling appropriate work ethic and behavior,” said Irvin. “He is an exemplary example of what a Screaming Eagle Student athlete is supposed to be.”
