Three teenagers were struck by a vehicle as they crossed Liberty Mill Road in Germantown on Monday night. Two were transported to area hospitals.
The incident took place at shortly after 8:30 pm on Monday, Nov. 7 at the corner of Clopper Road and Liberty Mill Road near the 7-Eleven store on the corner.
According to Montgomery County Police, the unidentified driver of black 2007 Lexus sedan was turning left from Clopper Road onto Liberty Mill Road when for reasons that are still under investigation the Lexus struck a bicycle which carried three teenagers. The teens, two of which are 17-years-old and one is 16-years-old, were crossing Liberty Mill Road. The driver remained at the scene.
Witnesses said the car hit the bicycle and one of the teens flipped over the top of the Lexus. One victim was treated at the scene by Montgomery County Fire Rescue. The other two were transported to local hospitals. One teen was transported Priority 3, and the third was a Priority 2 patient. Both transported teens suffered non-life threatening injuries.
