Strong-Arm Robbery Reported on Coachmans Road in Germantown
Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from Oct. 10 through Oct. 18.
Police report a strong-arm robbery of a juvenile male victim in the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 12 in the 18100 block of Coachmans Road in Germantown. According to police, four suspects, three white males in their late teens and black male of unknown age assaulted the victim and stole his property.
MCPD reported an aggravated assault occurred in the area of Germantown Road and Observation Drive at approximately 10:00 pm on Friday, Oct. 11. The white male suspect assaulted the adult male victim.
Police reported two commercial burglaries in Germantown. The first took place in the early morning hours of Friday, Oct. 11 at the Quick Stop Auto Service located at 23418 Ridge Road in Cedar Grove/Clarksburg. Police say the business was broken into and property was stolen.
The second commercial burglary took place at Zips Dry Cleaning located at 13083 Wisteria Drive at approximately 10:20 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 15. No forced entry; cash was taken.
Montgomery County Police reported three residential burglaries in the Germantown area.
The first took place in the 27000 block of Ridge Road between Monday, Oct. 7 and Wednesday, Oct. 9. Forced entry; property was taken.
The second residential burglary took place In the 13200 block of Astoria Hill Court between approximately 7:20 am and approximately 1:00 pm on Monday, Oct. 14. Forced entry; property was taken.
The third occurred in the 19200 block of Circle Gate Drive in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Oct. 15. No forced entry; nothing was taken.
Theft from automobiles continue to be a major crime in Germantown and Montgomery County. Police reported multiple thefts from vehicles occurred during between Oct. 10 and Oct. 18. Affected streets include Frederick Road, Applegrath Way, and Black Forest Way. Force reported in one event; cash and property were taken.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Oct. 5 and Oct. 11. Affected streets include Tralee Terrace, Tralee Court, Ridge Manor Drive, Main Street, Woodfield Road, Vista Ridge Road, and Highcrest Drive. No force, vehicles were left unlocked; cash and property were taken.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred during this reporting period. Affected streets include Wild Cherry Lane, Country Ridge Drive, Locbury Court, Fetlock Drive, and Cross Ridge Court. No force; cash and property were taken.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Thursday, Oct. 10 and Wednesday, Oct. 16. Affected streets include Frederick Road, Observation Drive, and Sandsfield Terrace. Force was reported in three events, the remaining vehicles were left unlocked; property was taken.
MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Nov. 2.
