Tip-A-Cop on Saturday in Germantown to Benefit Special Olympics

Officers from Montgomery County area police departments will participate in the national Tip-A-Cop Event to raise money for Special Olympics Maryland, to be held locally at the Red Robin restaurant in Germantown on Saturday, Oct. 22.

   Police officers and deputies from the Montgomery County Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Park Police, Rockville City Police Department, Gaithersburg Police Department and Montgomery County Police Explorers will participate.

   As part of the national Tip-A-Cop event, officers will collect tips and help serve Red Robin restaurant guests to raise funds for Special Olympics Maryland. Events like “Tip-A-Cop” help the Special Olympics provide physical fitness and healthcare education programs at no cost to Special Olympic athletes and their families.

   The event will be held at the Red Robin restaurant located at 20001 Century Boulevard in Germantown from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturday, Oct. 22.
