County Executive Leggett Will Not Seek Fourth Term
Montgomery County Executive Isiah “Ike” Leggett will not seek a fourth term in that office, according to media reports.
Leggett, 72, has been the County Executive since first being elected to the post in 2006. According to the Washington Post, on Sunday Leggett told an audience at an anti-term limits rally in Silver Spring that he wasn’t going to seek re-election. “I don’t want to use the word retire, but I’m not running,” said Leggett according to the Washington Post.
