Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from Dec. 21 through Jan. 5.
Police reported three burglaries in Germantown area homes as 2015 rolled in 2016.
The first burglary took place in the early morning hours of Dec. 24 in the 14200 block of Autumn Crest Road in Boyds. No forced entry, nothing taken.
The second burglary 100 block of Walnutwood Court in Germantown over the Christmas holiday, between Dec. 24 and Dec. 26. No forced entry, and nothing was taken.
The third burglary happened in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Dec. 29 in the 11100 block of Sceptre Ridge Terrace in Germantown. Police report forced entry, nothing taken.
A commercial burglary occurred at the Torrid Paintball Sports located at 23730 Frederick Road in Clarksburg in the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 5. Forced entry; nothing taken.
There were many thefts from vehicles during the time period.
Montgomery County Police have arrested a 32-year-old Gaithersburg man in connection with multiple thefts from vehicles that occurred in the early morning hours of Dec. 22. Police no report that force was used to enter and steal items from vehicles on Ridge Manor Drive and Brigadier Place in Damascus.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in the early morning hours of Dec. 24. Police say that force was used steal property and cash. Affected streets include Ridgeview Drive, Morning Star Drive, Greenridge Drive, and Canterfield Way.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Dec. 23 and Dec. 25. No force; property and cash were taken. Affected streets include McFarlin Drive and Warrior Brook Drive in Germantown, and Cornflower Road in Boyds.
Another set of multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Dec. 31 and Jan. 4. No force; property taken. Affected streets include Clarks Crossing and Murphy Grove Terrace in Clarksburg.
Two thefts from vehicles occurred on Monday, Jan. 3 between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Police report that force was used enter the vehicles and steal cash and property. Affected streets include Germantown Road in the area of Century Boulevard.
MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Jan. 15.
