Power Outage in Waters Landing Neighborhood

More than 1,000 residents in Germantown were without power for hours on Wednesday morning. The outage which began shortly before 8:30 am on Sept. 22 affected 1,165 Potomac Edison customers.

The power outage also affected the traffic lights at the intersection of Father Hurley Boulevard and Waters Landing Drive, resulting in some rush hour delays as drivers treated the intersection as a four-way stop.

At 9:05 am, Potomac Edison said that crews were en route to the area to begin working to fix the outage and estimated that power should be restored by 11:30 am.
