September is Library Card Sign-Up Month

Montgomery County residents without library cards are encouraged to sign up for a library card during September, which is Library Card Sign-Up Month at Montgomery County Public Libraries.
September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month and staff at Montgomery County Public Libraries encourage residents of all ages, who do not have a card, to sign up for one today. The free library card is a key to limitless opportunities. It can be used to borrow materials from all 21 MCPL branches, as well as to access services and resources online 24/7 from anywhere.
The Germantown branch of the Montgomery County Public Library is located at 19840 Century Boulevard in Germantown.
“It is so exciting to see people of all ages coming into our public libraries and using their new library cards to explore, learn, discover and create,” said MCPL Director Parker Hamilton. “Signing up for a library card is the first step to lifelong learning.”
