MCFRS Responds to Pre-Dawn Townhouse Fire in Clarksburg

Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service responded to an early morning fire at a newly built townhouse in Clarksburg.

Firefighters were called to 22663 Majestic Elm Court in Clarksburg at 5:45 am on Monday, Sept. 5 for a fire in the rear of a middle-of-the-row townhouse. The fire seemed to start on the exterior near the garage of the townhouse and traveled up the outside of the structure near the utility meters to the attic.

Firefighters quickly contained the fire and began checking for extension to other parts of the structure. The exterior of the building was charred from the garage to the roofing. Fire officials said the bulk of the fire was on the exterior of the townhouse. No injuries were reported.
