Convenience Store Clerk Robbed at Knifepoint



Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from July 18 through July 26.

A Damascus convenience store clerk was robbed in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 21 when a man walked into the store, approached the clerk from behind, displayed knife and demanded money, according to Montgomery County Police. Police said the armed robbery took place at 7-Eleven convenience store located at 26344 Ridge Road in Damascus at approximately 3:30 am. The suspect was described as a while male, of unknown age. Police did not have any more information about the suspect.

Montgomery County Police reported three residential burglaries, one commercial burglary, and one shed burglary in the 5th District between July 18 and July 26.

The first occurred in the 19500 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown between Friday, July 19 and Wednesday, July 24. Police said the residence was broken into and property was taken.

Another residential garage burglary occurred in the 23400 block of Arora Hills Drive in Clarksburg on Friday, July 19 between 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm. No forced entry; property taken. Police said the suspect in this case as a black male of unknown age.

A commercial burglary occurred at the Northlake Apartment leasing office located at 12622 Grey Eagle Court in Germantown in the early morning hours of July 21. No forced entry; property was taken.

A third residential burglary occurred in the 26700 block of Haney Ave in Damascus on Wednesday, July 24 between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm. No forced entry; nothing was taken.

MCPD said a shed burglary occurred in the 19200 block of St. Johnsbury Lane in Germantown between July 9 and July 19. No forced entry; property was taken.

Police reported a number of thefts from vehicles and remind all residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuables.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Sunday, July 21 and Thursday July 25. No force; property was taken. Affected streets include Rayfield Drive, Cricket Hill Drive, and Harvest Glen Way in Germantown.

More multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 25. No force; cash and property were taken. Affected streets include Waterford Hills Boulevard, Derry Glenn Court, Galway Bay Circle, and Vaughn Landing Drive in Germantown.
