Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from July 11, 2016, to July 19, 2016
Montgomery County Police arrested a 23-year-old Germantown man for indecent exposure in the parking lot of the Walmart in the Milestone Shopping Center at 20910 Frederick Road in Germantown. Police were called to the lot at about 5:30 pm on Monday, July 18, for a report of a man masturbating in his vehicle while parked the lot.
UPDATE October 7, 2016: All indecent exposure charges against the 23-year-old, Antony Guzman, have been dropped by the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office. Prosecutors invoked nolle prosequi or dismissal and decided to discontinue a prosecution during the court hearing in Montgomery County Circuit Court on Thursday Oct. 6.
MCPD arrested a Gaithersburg man after a strong-arm robbery in Damascus on Tuesday, July 12. According to police 27-year-old, Damone Lynden Martin assaulted an adult female victim in the 25600 block of Coltrane Drive in Damascus at about 7:30 pm. According to the police, the victim, and the assailant knew each other. Police say the victim owed the Martin money, and when she didn’t have the money, Martin assaulted her and stole her cell phone.
Police reported three residential burglaries between July 11 and July 19. The first took place in the 20400 block of Summersong Lane in Germantown between 11:45 am and 2:30 pm on Wednesday, July 13. Police say the suspect(s) broke into the residence and stole property.
The second residential burglary took place later that same day, on July 13 at approximately 4:00 pm in the 12400 block of Carriage Park Place in Clarksburg. Police report no forced entry and property taken. The suspect, in this case, was a black male between the ages of 18 and 20.
A third residential burglary took place on Friday, July 15 at approximately 10:00 pm in the 12500 block of Middlebrook Road in Germantown. Police report forced entry, but nothing was stolen.
MCPD reported multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in the area of Bent Willow Circle in Germantown in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 14. Police say that in these cases the vehicles were forced open, and property stolen.
MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred, and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on August 2.
