MCPD Investigate Peeping Tom at T.J. Maxx Store in Germantown

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 5th District Investigative Section are looking into an alleged peeping tom offense that involved a suspect taking photographs underneath an adult female’s dress while she shopped at a department store in Germantown.

On Wednesday, June 15 at approximately 1:12 pm, the victim was shopping at the T.J. Maxx department store located at 20906 Frederick Road in Germantown when she noticed the suspect using a cell phone to take pictures underneath her dress.

According to MCPD spokesman Rick Goodale, the incident took place in the store as the woman was shopping. “She was just walking through T.J. Maxx and turned around and saw the guy snapping a picture underneath her dress. It looked to her like he was trying to fake as if he was trying to pick an item off a lower shelf, but she clearly saw the cell phone snapping the picture up her dress.”

The victim confronted the suspect, and he fled out of the store. Officers obtained surveillance photographs of the suspect in the T.J. Maxx and are asking for the public’s help to identify him. He is described as an Asian male roughly between 18- and 25-years old, with dark hair, wearing a white shirt. He was las seen exiting the store; it is not known if he ran to a vehicle or remained on foot.
