Car Plows Through Front Door of Building

Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue units were called to Germantown apartment complex on Thursday morning after a car somehow ended up plowing right through the front door of the complex.

Luckily nobody was injured when the black Chevy Impala jumped the curb, and the front stairs, mangled the stair railing, and smashed through the front door at 12405 Hickory Tree Way in Germantown at about 11:30 am on Thursday, July 14.

Police on the scene said the operator of the vehicle may have been an unlicensed driver who was asked to move the car by the owner. Police did not disclose if any charges or tickets would be issued to the driver.

Officials said no one was injured and a Montgomery County building inspector was called to make sure the building was structurally sound. Residents are required to use side doors for exit and egress until the door can be repaired.
