“We currently have eight coaching vacancies, four of which are for the fall season which begins on August 10,” said Irvin. Coaches need not be teachers or current Montgomery County, but all candidates must be 21-years-old and will be required to undergo a background check prior to being hired. “Coaching jobs require at least 12 hours per week, but is normally more,” said Irvin. “The compensation ranges per position, but is normally between $2,500 and $3,500 for the entire season.”
The other four vacancies are for the Spring 2017 season, which will begin March 1, 2017, said Irvin. For the Spring season, Seneca Valley must find a Boys Volleyball coach, a Coed Volleyball coach, a head coach for Varsity Boys Lacrosse, and a coach for the Junior Varsity Boys Lacrosse team.
