July 14, 2016

Investigators from the 5th District in Germantown are investigating an armed home invasion robbery at 19014 Noble Oak Drive in the Fountain Hills Drive neighborhood in Germantown during the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 12.

According to police, sometime after midnight a man entered the residence through what may have been an unlocked back door. Once inside, suspect confronted the two people in the house at the time, one adult male victim and his adult son, while brandishing a handgun.

The victims complied with his demands. The suspect demanded cash and began to search the house for valuables. Then according to police, while the suspect was searching the residence the victims were able to exit the house and get help from a police officer who was nearby. MCPD said that police were dispatched at 1:30 am on Tuesday morning. By the time police returned to the house, the suspect had fled the area and was not found. None of the victims were injured.

5th District Commander Captain David Gillespie said the suspect was a white male, about 5-foot, 7-inches with close cropped reddish hair. He wore all black. Anyone with information is asked to call Montgomery County Police 5th District at (240) 773-6200.
