Germantown Residents Earn Degrees

A number of Germantown residents earned degrees from various colleges and universities this spring.

   Among those earning degrees are;

   Jennifer Sharkey, of Germantown, who received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree, majoring in Finance degree from Miami University (Ohio)during spring commencement exercises on  May 14.

   Laura Stall of Germantown, graduated from The University of Akron earning the Bachelor of Arts English degree.

   Two Germantown residents earned degrees from Frostburg State University at the school’s 148th commencement ceremonies in May, the following area residents were among the nearly 700 total candidates for degrees. Allyson Testamark, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Percy Vasquez, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

   Three Germantown residents earned degrees from Lycoming College at the school’s 168th commencement ceremonies in May, the following area residents were among the nearly 240 total candidates for degrees. Hannah Bischoff graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Daniel Evans graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice. Jamal Nelson graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.

   Four Germantown residents earned degrees from Loyola University Maryland at the school’s 164th commencement ceremonies in May, the following area residents were among candidates for degrees. Alexander Gordon received a BBA degree in Business Administration. Anh Thu Nguyen received a BS degree in Chemistry. Chemine Sharpe received a BA degree in Writing. Chrystelle Sharpe received a BA degree in Communication/Visual Arts.

   Two area residents earned degrees from James Madison University in May. Maria Camargo of Darnestown graduated Cum Laude with a degree in psychology and Rachel Jones of Germantown graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in theatre and dance.

   Three Germantown residents earned degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology at the school’s 251st commencement ceremonies in May, the following area residents were among the nearly 3,000 total candidates for degrees. Anuradha Banerjee received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Pavleen Thukral received Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Michael Varghese received Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

   Christian Quattrociocchi, of Germantown, is now a graduate of Colgate University. Quattrociocchi majored in History and Spanish and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

   Ryan Schneider of Germantown, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Marist College in May.

   Irving Ngameni Ngaleu of Germantown, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of the Cumberlands in May.

Precious S. Parker of Germantown, earned a bachelor of arts at Mary Baldwin College's Commencement ceremony on May 22, 2016.

   Kyle M. Hamer of Germantown was among the more than 900 bachelor's and associate degree recipients at The University of Scranton's undergraduate commencement held in May. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management from The University of Scranton.

   Marysa Kamleu of Germantown, received a BS in pharmaceutical and healthcare studies magna cum laude from University of the Sciences in May.

   William Christner and Ramzi Ebeid, both of Germantown earned degrees from Bucknell University in May.

   Molly Christian of Germantown graduated Magna Cum Laude with the Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Forensic Science from the Newton campus of Mount Ida College in May.

   Thomas Aris Berch of Germantown graduated from Clemson University on May 7, 2016, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

   Misha Varma of Germantown, graduated with a Master of Engineering degree in Biological Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University in Spring 2016.

   Douglas Paul Harden of Germantown, has graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Master Arts in International Affairs.

   Two Germantown residents were among those earning degrees from Lebanon Valley College as it celebrated its 147th Commencement in May with 476 students receiving their degrees. The 369 graduating seniors were joined by 37 doctor of physical therapy candidates. Bridget R. Rothert received a bachelor of science in psychobiology. Rothert is a graduate of Seneca Valley High School. Joanna R. Shockey received a doctor of physical therapy in physical therapy and bachelor of science degree. Shockey is a graduate of Poolesville Middle-Senior High School.

   Three Germantown residents earned degrees from Coastal Carolina University at the school’s commencement ceremonies in May, the following area residents were among the candidates for degrees. Melissa Bible graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education in early childhood education. Yeraldine Cantor-Aguirre graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies in interdisciplinary studies. Cheyenne Neff graduated with a Bachelor of Science in marine science.
