MARC Trains Affected By Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Rockville

MARC trains on the Brunswick Line will operating on delayed and on restricted speed as Montgomery County Police investigate a fatal pedestrian accident in on the train tracks in Rockville earlier tonight.

Maryland Transportation Administration’s website said that, “All evening Brunswick Line trains holding in Washington will be gradually released to operated at restricted speeds from Garrett Park through Rockville, until all trains have resumed normal service. Please expect continued delays as the railroad is reopened, Washington Metrorail remains available as an option for Brunswick Line commuters."

Montgomery County Police confirmed that an adult male was fatal struck by an Amtrak Train in the area of Bou Ave in Rockville. The status of the 29 Capitol Limited westbound from DC to Chicago is currently unavailable due to a service disruption.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services confirmed a pedestrian was struck by a train north of the Target Store on Bou Avenue by Randolph Road. The person struck by the train did not survive.
