Several Injured As Five Car Pile-Up Closes Ridge Road

A five-vehicle pile-up, in which one vehicle ended up on top of another, closed Ridge Road in both directions for a little over an hour during the Wednesday morning rush. The pile-up happened between Little Seneca Parkway and Apple Orchard Way on Ridge Road.
Shortly after 7:00 am on Wednesday morning Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue units were called to Ridge Road in Germantown/Clarksburg for the report of a collision involving multiple vehicles. First responders found a scene with five vehicles involved in a pile-up with people trapped in a vehicle and injured several people.
MCFRS senior spokesman Pete Piringer said that EMS evaluated several individuals with non-life threatening injuries. The collision was cleared, and the road was reopened at about 8:15 am.
