Man Airlifted to Hospital After Motorcycle Crash

A motorcyclist had to be airlifted to a trauma center after his motorcycle left the road and ended up 50-yards deep into a field in Boyds.

Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue units were called to Darnestown Road, about 4,000 feet west of White Ground Road for the single-vehicle motorcycle crash. Arriving EMS units located the driver and determined he had Priority 2 trauma injuries, which means serious injuries but not immediately endangering the patient’s life. MCFRS requested a medevac helicopter.

Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 3 responded and landed in the field adjacent to where the motorcycle came to rest.
