Three Girls Arrested After Strong-Arm Robbery in Town Center
Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from March 28 through April 5.
Police say they have arrested three teenage girls from Germantown in connection with a strong-arm robbery which occurred Monday, April 4 in front of the Germantown Public Library at 19840 Century Boulevard at 8:00 pm. According to police, the victim was attacked by three black females. The three girls, ages 14, 16, and 17 all from Germantown approached a fourth female assaulted her and took her backpack including her cell phone and credit cards. Police believe that the victim knew her attackers.
Three days earlier, MCPD arrested a 16-year-old Gaithersburg teenager in connection with an aggravated assault by three teenagers which took place on Friday, April 1 at 12:30 pm in the area of Middlebrook Road and Frederick Road. According to police, the victim was approached from behind by the three black male suspects, and one of the suspects hit him from behind with a stick of some kind, and the other two suspects joined in kicking and beating the victim. Police are still seeking two more suspects believed to 16- or 17-years old.
Montgomery County Police reports two burglaries in the Fifth District, both took place on Friday, April 1. The first was a residential burglary which occurred in the early morning hours in the 9000 block of Brown Church Road in the very northern portion of Montgomery County.
The second was a commercial burglary at a building located at 22300 Comsat Drive in Clarksburg at 6:00 pm. Police report no forced entry and nothing taken.
MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred, and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on April 14.
