The Germantown Alliance is a civic organization which has existed since 1976, established to be an alliance of volunteer residents, businesses and organizations working together to be a unified voice for Germantown, but in the 40 year existence of the organization it has never had a logo.
The group, which had been dormant for a number of years, is getting renewed life as local leaders revive the Germantown Alliance to give the 100,000 residents of the Germantown area a voice to ensure that the thoughts and concerns of the Germantown community are heard and considered.
A logo is something that the new leadership has determined to be an important aspect of giving the group an identity. The Germantown Pulse and Montgomery College in Germantown are partnering to sponsor a logo design contest is open to MCPS students whom currently attend Seneca Valley, Northwest, and Clarksburg high schools and to students currently enrolled at Montgomery College.
The Germantown Alliance has never had a logo and the group believes that area high school and college students in the community can capture the vibrancy of Germantown with their designs.
The entry deadline for the Germantown Alliance Logo Contest is 11:59 pm on May 6, 2016. Entry details and submission form can be found at Germantown Alliance website. The Grand Prize is $150 for the winning entry. Anyone with questions should email the Germantown Alliance.
