Burglaries Reported in Germantown, Boyds and Poolesville

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from Monday, Feb. 1 through Tuesday, Feb. 9.

   Police reported a burglary in the 17600 block of Charity Lane in Germantown on Feb. 1 at 3:30 pm. According to police, the suspect kicked in the front door and stole cell phones and some cash from the residence.

   Police reported a number of burglaries in Boyds, including one in the 12400 block of Thorngate Lane in Boyds. This incident took place on Wednesday, Feb. 3 between 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm. Police say that there was no forced entry, but property was taken.

   MCPD also reported three burglaries in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the newly built and unoccupied townhomes on Broadway Avenue in Boyds, just south of where the new Clarksburg Premium Outlets are being built.  No forced entry but property was taken.

   District 1 police reported a residential burglary in the 14000 block of Montevideo Road in Poolesville on Tuesday, Feb. 2 between 7:45 am and 9:20 pm. Police say that the residence was broken into, and property was taken.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred, and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Feb. 18.
