The Northwest Lady Jags snapped Quince Orchard’s three-game win streak by defeating the Lady Cougars 48-32 in Germantown Friday night.
After the win, the Lady Jags are on a two-game win streak with five games remaining in the regular season. The Lady Jags held Quince Orchard to single digits in all four quarters.
The Jags were led by senior Diaja Black, who had 16 points off seven shots from the field. While Black led all scorers, Northwest had nine players on the scoring sheet. Junior Tiara Davis had seven points while juniors Alexis Mack, Sam Sekscienski, and Jaden Bynum all added six points apiece.
The Cougars were led by Jordan Odom, who finished the game with 10 points, and Danni Lehner, who pitched in six points. The loss drops the Cougars to 9-6 on the season.
With the win the Jags extend their record to 7-9, they travel will play two road games and a home game next week. On Monday, they visit 8-6 Damascus. On Tuesday the Jags have a big test as they travel to face 13-3 Clarksburg. The Lady Jags will complete the week at home against 6-7-1 Gaithersburg.
