Police Ask Public’s Help to Locate Alleged Credit Card Thief



Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a person wanted in connection with a credit card theft that occurred in Germantown grocery store last November.

Detectives from the 5th District Patrol Investigations Unit are asking for the public’s help in locating Gregory Howard Pearson, 66, of an unknown address.

Detectives have obtained a warrant for Pearson’s arrest, charging him with theft and credit card fraud offenses. On November 24, 2015, Pearson stole a credit card from the purse of an 81-year-old female while the woman was shopping inside the Giant Food located at 20944 N. Frederick Road in Germantown. Pearson later used the stolen credit card to purchase items at a nearby retail store.


Police have released several photos of Pearson and are asking the public’s help in locating this wanted subject. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Gregory Howard Pearson to please call the Montgomery County Police Department’s non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 or to contact the 5th District Patrol Investigations Unit at 240-773-6245.
