Germantown Elementary School’s Giving Tree Spreads Holiday Joy

Each year the staff at Germantown Elementary School participates in Giving Tree to ensure that each and every student at GES will have a happy and joyful holiday. The staff and members of the school community generously provides Christmas gifts for families that may not be able to afford gifts.

   This year that tradition got an influx of cheer from the preschool students at Chesterbrook Academy in Germantown. On Dec. 14, students from Chesterbrook Germantown Elementary to deliver a donation of holiday gifts. Students collected clothing, toys and other items to help fulfill the wish lists of the students on a giving tree at GES. Twenty of the wish lists were fulfilled by generous donations from one Chesterbrook Academy family so that no child was left out.

   During their visit at Germantown Elementary, Chesterbrook Academy students met with the school's principal Amy Bryant and school counselor Jennifer Atanda, who thanked students for their efforts.
