Man Beaten and Robbed on Briarcliff Terrace



Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from Nov. 9 through Nov. 30.

Montgomery County Police say that a 22-year-old man was beaten and robbed while walking to along the 13100 block of Briarcliff Terrace in Germantown on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 11. According to police, two black males in their early 20s attacked the 22-year old white male as he walked along the street in the townhouse development in central Germantown at about 5:00 pm.

Police said the unidentified assailants assaulted the victim about the head knocking him to the ground, where they searched his pockets and forcibly took his wallet. One assailant is described as wearing a dark jeans and blue shirt, while other was wearing dark jeans and black shirt with orange letters.

MCPD said that five residential burglaries took place in the Germantown area between Nov. 12 and Nov. 20.

The first two occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, Nov. 12, on the same block. Police say that two burglaries took place on Stoney Point Place. The first took place in the 11900 block of Stoney Point Place, the second occurred in the 19900 block.

Police report that a third burglary took place in the 2000 block of Dunstable Circle on Nov. 14 between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm. Police report a forced entry to the residence, but nothing taken.

A fourth residential burglary took place in the 11600 block of Summer Oak Drive between 9:00 pm and 9:15 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 18. No forced entry, and property was taken.

A fifth residential burglary occurred in the 20000 block of Appledowre Circle between noon on Friday, Nov. 20 and midnight on Saturday, Nov. 21. Police report no forced entry, but property was taken.

Montgomery County police report a commercial burglary occurred at the Hardscape store located at 23000 David Mill Road in the early morning hours of Thursday, Nov. 19. Police report that burglars force entry into the building and stole property.
