As Winter Weather Nears, Germantown Pulse Again Partners with MoCoSnow

November 30, 2015

Winter is Coming...Calling all Germantown Pulse Snow Totallers

The Germantown Pulse, Germantown’s home town news and information source, has once again partnered with MoCoSnow.com, to get granular level information about potential snow storms that might affect the Germantown area. MoCoSnow.com is Montgomery County’s number one source for inclement weather forecasts and school closing/delay predictions.

While the Upcounty area has enjoyed a mild and snow/ice free season so far, as December nears the chances of significant snow storms bearing down on the Germantown area will definitely increase. When snow storms approach the Upcounty area, MoCoSnow.com will provide the Germantown Pulse with Germantown specific forecasts, as to how much of the white stuff residents of the Germantown area might expect from a given storm, and of course the MoCosnow.com pencil prediction as to whether the weather will close schools.

“It’s a natural fit,” said MoCoSnow.com founder and editor, Alex Tsironis. “The Pulse is Germantown’s hyper-local news source and MoCo Snow is Montgomery County’s hyper-local weather forecast provider.”

In return for providing a Germantown-centered storm forecasts, this winter MoCoSnow readers can expect post storm reaction, stories and photos from the Germantown area from the Germantown Pulse staff.

Once again this year the Germantown Pulse will be looking for help from our readers, though the Germantown Pulse Snow Totaller Program. The Pulse is looking for to add to our corps of Germantown/Clarksburg area based snow totallers.

If you live in the upcounty Germantown/ Clarksburg/Boyds/Damascus area and want to join the ranks of the Germantown Pulse Snow Totaller Corps please send an email to Kevinor@germantownpulse.net. We have a good supply of Official Germantown Pulse Snow Totaller Measuring Instruments, (OGPSTMI) also known as, rulers to give to interested folks. Send us an email with your address and we will send you an OGPSTMI.

Germantown Pulse is the digital news source for Germantown residents. Started in August 2014, the website provides community news and information for the Germantown, MD area. Covering hard news and local sports from Germantown area high schools, The Pulse is a member of the Maryland Delaware DC Press Association. It is the only news source devoted exclusively to Germantown.

Founded in January 2011, MoCoSnow.com complies forecasts from different television stations and websites to put together the most accurate forecast for Montgomery County, to predict whether the upcoming storm will be severe enough to cause schools to closed or delay openings.
