Germantown Teens Arrested for Setting Falconcrest Circle House Fire

Two Germantown area teenagers were arrested on Thursday afternoon in connection with setting the fire which destroyed a home on Falconcrest Circle in Germantown last week.

Montgomery County Fire Investigators arrested two 13-year-old juveniles for setting the fire which destroyed the home of the belonging to Michael Riggs and his family at 17809 Falconcrest Circle. The unidentified teens have been arrested on charges of Arson in the First Degree, a Felony; Malicious Burning in the First Degree, a Felony; Malicious Destruction of Property, a misdemeanor; and Reckless Endangerment, a Misdemeanor, according to Pete Piringer, senior spokesman for MCFRS.

The fire struck the home at about 4:45 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Neighbors called 911 to report that the back of the house was on fire. First arriving firefighters encountered heavy fire in the large three-story home. Fire officials,
