Fire Damages Palmetto Circle Townhouse

Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service units were called to a fire which damaged a townhouse at 13641 Palmetto Circle in Germantown, at about 11:50 am on Sunday morning, Oct. 18.

Arriving units found trash fire on the second floor of an end-of-the-row townhouse, according to MCFRS senior spokesman Pete Piringer. The fire was controlled by residential sprinkler system. The building’s alarm alerted occupants who were able to escape without injury.

According to Piringer, the fire did approximately $5,000 in damage to the structure and displaced one family.
