Police Arrest Burglary Suspect Thanks to Tip From Public
Detectives from the 5th District in Germantown have arrested a Germantown women in connection with a burglary which happened in town last month, thanks to a tip from someone in the community.
At about noon on September 15, police officers responded to a residence on Gate Dancer Lane in Germantown after the homeowner discovered a female suspect. When the homeowner confronter the suspect, she fled from the house.
Earlier this month, on October 2, police released photographs of the suspect and asked anyone who recognized her to call police detectives. That same day, detectives received an anonymous tip that the suspect in the photographs was Jenise Shakea Hart.
A few days later on Oct. 8, police went to Hart’s residence in the 13500 block of Demetrias Way in Germantown and arrested 21-year-old Jenise Shakea Hart for burglary. She was then transported to the Central Processing Unit where she was charged with one count of first-degree burglary and being a fugitive from justice. Hart posted a $10,000 bond on the first-degree burglary charge and was ordered held without bond on the fugitive from justice charge.
