Carpenter and Midlam Named Seneca Valley Scholar Athletes of the Month

 Jesse Irvin, Athletic Director at Seneca Valley announced that senior Emily Carpenter and junior Bryan Midlam have been named the Seneca Valley Scholar Athletes for the Month of September.

   Emily Carpenter is the captain of a young varsity girls soccer team, she is a great role model and a great leader. Carpenter organized team practices in the off season. “She held team meetings to motivate the team for play on and off the field, her GPA 3.66, and she leads a team with the highest GPA. Emily is the Rock of Gibraltar for our team,” said Irvin.

   Bryan Midlam, is on the boys cross country team and can be seen every day at practice striving to be the best runner he can possibly be, said Irvin. “As he pushes himself, he continually inspires his teammates to expect the best of themselves. Additionally, Bryan dedicates himself to his academics with enthusiasm. He competes with the math team and is a full IB Diploma Candidate. Bryan models the ideals of a student athlete at Seneca Valley High School,” said Irvin.

   “Congratulations to both of Emily and Bryan for setting the example as Screaming Eagle Scholar Athletes,” said Irvin.
