Three Residential Burglaries Reported in Germantown

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from August 17 through Sept. 1.

   Police reported three residential burglaries in the Germantown between August 20 and August 24. The first occurred in the 100 block of Walnutwood Court in the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 20. No forced entry; nothing taken.

   The second occurred in the 19500 block of White Saddle Drive on Sunday, August 23 between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm. Forced entry; property taken.

   The third happen in the 11900 block of Weybridge Lane on Monday, August 24 between 7:30 am and 9:30 am Forced entry; nothing taken.

   MCPD reported multiple thefts from vehicles in the Germantown area between Friday, August 21 and Monday, August 24. Police report that in many of these cases forced entry was used to get into the vehicles to steal property and cash. Affected streets include Village Fountain Drive, Lake Geneva Way, Split Rock Lane, Bay Leaf Way, Grotto Lane, Cherry Bend Court, and Mateny Hill Road.

   Police also reported multiple thefts from vehicles in the Damascus area in the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 26. No force; property taken. Affected streets include Shelldrake Circle, Damascus Park Lane, Valley Park Terrace, Brigadier Place, Ridge Manor Drive, and Paine Street.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Sept 10.
