Football Game Ends with Armed Robbery

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from August 3 through August 18.

   A neighborhood football game in the Meadows community at Partridge Wood Drive on Monday evening ended with one player pulling a gun on another and demanding his cell phone and sneakers, according to Montgomery County Police.

   Police say the suspect and victim were playing football at 19152 Partridge Wood Drive between 9:30 pm and 10:45 pm on Monday, Aug. 17, when the victim was approached by the suspect, who displayed a handgun and demand his cell phone and sneakers. Police say the suspect was described as a 25-year-old black male who was a Germantown resident.

   MCPD report an indecent exposure incident occurred in the 18700 block of Caledonia Court on Monday, Aug. 10 at 7:00 pm. The victim observed the suspect exposing himself outside the window. The suspect is a black male of unknown age.

   Police reported five residential burglaries between Aug. 3 and Aug. 18.

   The first took place in the 20600 block of Neerwinder Street on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 7:30 am. No forced entry, and nothing were taken. Police report that there are three suspects, described as three black males of unknown age.

   Another residential burglary occurred in the100 block of Black Stallion Court on Aug. 7 between 1:00 am and 9:00 am. Police report that there no forced entry, but property was taken.

   The next residential burglary took place in the 11500 Fenchurch Court at an unknown time between Aug. 8 and Aug. 9. This incident involved forced entry and cash was taken.

   Another residential burglary occurred at the Extended Stay Hotel located at 20141 Century Boulevard in the early morning hours of Thursday, Aug. 13. Police report unknown entry; nothing taken.

   A residential burglary occurred in the 19500 block of Scenery Drive at an unknown time over the weekend between Friday, Aug. 14 and Sunday Aug. 16. Forced entry; property taken.

   Montgomery County Police reported multiple related thefts from vehicles occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, Aug. 8. Force; property and cash were taken. Affected streets include Coral Grove Place, Bent Willow Circle, and Port Haven Drive.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on August 27.
