Police Arrest Germantown Man on Domestic Assault Charges

Montgomery County Police have arrested a Germantown man on assault charges after he pistol whipped his girlfriend on Tuesday night.

Officers arrested Randolph Middlebrook, 22, of the 11200 block of Valley Bend Drive in Germantown for first degree assault charges.

On August 18 at approximately 9:15 pm., officers from the Fifth District responded to the Valley Bend Drive residence after the victim had called 9-1-1 and stated that her boyfriend, Middlebrook, had struck her in the head with a firearm. Police report that the victim stated that Middlebrook then dragged the victim and physically forced her out of the residence. Her two children, ages two and seven, witnessed the assault and remained in the home.

Officers attempted to make contact with Middlebrook several times without success and determined that he and the children were no longer in the home.

Investigators were later able to locate and arrest Middlebrook in the 1800 block of Metzerott Road in Adelphi, MD. The victim’s children were located nearby, safe and unharmed, and reunited with the victim.

Middlebrook has been charged with first degree assault, second degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
