Man Robbed at Capitol One Bank ATM
Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from June 8 through June 16.
A man was attacked and robbed after he had just gotten money from the automatic teller machine at the Capitol One Bank at 19801 Century Boulevard in Germantown, according to police. The assault happened at 2:00 am on Thursday, June 11. Police say, two adult black males ranging in age from 25 to the early 30s, approached a man, attacked him with some sort of sticks, and threatened him with a handgun. The suspects stole his money and fled.
MCPD say a woman was mugged in the 13000 block of Town Commons Drive at 4:30 am on Sunday, June 13. According to police, a black male approached the woman as she was walking, assaulted her, and displayed a knife, at this point the woman gave the man her purse. He then fled the area in a green Jeep Grand Cherokee with Maryland plates.
Officers from District Five arrested three juveniles in connection with a foiled residential burglary in the 13000 block of Dutrow Drive in Clarksburg. Police say that at about 7:00 pm on Sunday, June 14, the three youths, two 16-year-old black males and a 17-year-old white male -- all from Germantown, entered an unlocked garage of a residence and rifled through an unlocked vehicle in the garage. The home owner called police and the youths were arrested. Nothing was stolen.
Montgomery County Police report that there were eight other residential burglaries and one commercial burglary in the Germantown area between June 8 and June 16.
The first burglary took place on Tuesday, June 8 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm in the 13000 block of Kildare Hills Terrace. Police report no forced entry but property was taken.
Another residential burglary occurred in the 8000 block of Seneca View Drive on Wednesday, June 10 between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. No forced entry; property taken.
A residential burglary occurred in the 18000 block of High Point Drive on Friday, June 12 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Unknown entry; property taken.
MCPD report another residential burglary occurred in the 12000 block of Middlebrook Road in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 13. Unknown entry; property taken.
A residential burglary occurred in the 20000 block of Locustdale Drive in the early morning hours of Monday, June 15. Forced entry; property taken.
Police say that three residential burglaries took place on Tuesday, June 16. Two occurred in the early morning hours, the first occurred on the 18000 block of Bailiwick Place. No forced entry and property was taken.
The next took place in the 19600 block of Frederick Road. In this case, police say that the perpetrator forcibly enter the residence and stole property.
Later that afternoon a third burglary took place between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm in the 20000 block of Shamrock Glen Circle. In this case police say there was no forced entry, but property was stolen.
MCPD report a commercial burglary occurred at Metro Ground Covers located at 24510 Frederick Road on June 16 between 7:00 am and 9:00 am. Forced entry; nothing taken.
Police also report multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 16. In all cases property taken from unlocked vehicles. Affected streets include Leaman Farm Road, Duhart Road, and Steeple Court.
MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on June 25.
