Germantown Residents Earn Degrees

 A number of Germantown residents earned degrees from various colleges and universities this spring.

   Among those earning degrees are; Edward Raff, of Germantown, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree in Elementary Education from Coastal Carolina University at commencement exercises on May 9.

   Avery Fuertes, of Germantown, earned a BSBA in Sport Management from Nichols College in Dudley, Ma. at the college’s bicentennial graduation ceremonies held on May 9.

 Elena Isaacson of Germantown, graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in Physical Therapy from the Graduate College of the University of Vermont’s commencement on May 17.

   Germaine Annabelle Awlime of Germantown earned a Bachelor of Social Work at Mary Baldwin College's Commencement ceremony on May 17, 2015.

   Andrew Edward Mlynarczyk of Germantown graduated May 8, 2015, from Clemson University. Mlynarczyk graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering.

   Kirkwood Tischler, son of Susan and Kirkwood Tischler, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bucknell University. Kirkwood is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society.

   Collin B. James of Germantown graduated Saturday, May 16, from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration - Marketing.

   Sam Sherman from Darnestown, graduated from Wake Forest University on May 18.

Nicholas G. Papillo of Germantown was among the more than 930 bachelor's and associate's degree recipients at University of Scranton’s undergraduate commencement on May 31.

   Antonia Yvonne Francis of Germantown, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from McDaniel College. McDaniel awarded 358 bachelor's degrees during the 145th Commencement on May 23.

   Ekta Bains of Germantown, graduated from Widener University recently with a Master of Business Administration in Management on May 15.

   Seven Germantown residents earned degrees from Frostburg State University at the school’s 146th commencement ceremonies in May, the following area residents were among the nearly 700 total candidates for degrees.

   Joseph Clarke, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science; Caitlin Felix, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in History; Jasmine Kelsey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration; Stephen Kuhn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science; Charles Lyles earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Law and Society; Kyle Shafer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting; and Victoria Veirs earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.

   Two Germantown residents earned masters degrees from McDaniel College at commencement ceremonies held on May 23. McDaniel College awarded masters degrees to Usman Jamil for Exercise Science and Physical Education, and Michelle Palank, who earned a masters in Curriculum and Instruction.
