One Stolen Car & Two Peeping Toms Lead Police Blotter
Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in the Germantown area from May 4 through May 12.
MCPD report a vehicle was stolen in the early morning hours of Monday, May 11 from the 12400 block of Quail Woods Drive. The car was a 2005 blue Chevy Avedo, which was left running and unattended.
Police report a peeping tom offense occurred at 3:00 am on Sunday, May 10. A woman observed two black male suspects of unknown age on her balcony in the 12400 block of Great Park Circle peering into her window.
Police have arrested a 17-year-old black male from Northeast, Washington, DC in connection with a strong armed robbery which occurred in the 10500 block of Tralee Terrace in Damascus, on at 3:15 pm on Sunday, May 10. Police say the defendant, who was in possession of the victim’s bicycle, displayed a handgun when confronted by the victim about giving back the stolen bike. The suspect was later arrested and the property was returned the victim. The weapon was not located, according to police.
MCPD report four residential burglaries in the area. The first occurred on the 11400 block of Herefordshire Way on Tuesday, May 5 between 2:00 pm and 10:00 pm. Police report that this incident involved forced entry, however nothing was taken.
The second residential burglary took place on the 21600 block of Slidell Road in the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 6. No forced entry and property was taken.
Police arrested three men in connection with the third residential burglary, which took place on the 13600 block for Autumn Trail Drive in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 9. In this incident was broken and property was taken. Police arrested three black males, two 18-year-olds and one 22-year-old.
The fourth residential burglary occurred in the 19200 block of Tattershall Drive in the early morning hours of Monday, May 11. No forced entry and property was taken.
