Two Daytime Burglaries in Germantown Area

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from April 27 through May 5.

   MCPD report two daytime residential burglaries in the Germantown area. The first occurred in the 22000 block of Canterfield Way on Thursday, April 30 between 9:45 am and 2:30 pm. Police report that the burglar in this case forced open a window or door and stole property.

   The second burglary took place in the 20000 block of Cabana Drive in Germantown on Monday, May 4 between 8:30 am and 2:00 pm. In this case, there was no forced entry, but property was taken from the residence.

   Police report three thefts from vehicles during the early morning hours of Sunday, May 3. Affected streets included CircleGate Drive and Birdseye Court. Police believe that these incidents may be related. All of these incidents used forced entry to gain access to the vehicles and take property taken.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on May 15.
