County Seeks Input on Health and Quality of Life

May 13, 2015

Healthy Montgomery, a community-based effort to improve the health and well-being of Montgomery County residents, is inviting residents to participate in a community meeting to be held at the Kramer Upcounty Regional Services Center located at 12900 Middlebrook Road on Tuesday, June 2 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

The meetings are designed as conversations and to help provide input and feedback to complete a community health needs assessment. Attendees will have an opportunity to share their views about how Montgomery County can be a healthier place to live.

The meeting on the Kramer Upcounty Regional Services Center in Germantown is one of a dozen the group will hold throughout the county. Each session will last approximately two hours and refreshments will be served.

To register for one of the sessions, call 240-777-4527 or email Yvonne.bailey@montgomerycountymd.gov

Healthy Montgomery, the County’s Community Health Improvement Process, was launched in 2009 and is an ongoing effort that brings together a broad range of individuals representing County government agencies, the six community hospitals, minority health programs/initiatives, advocacy groups, academic institutions and the health insurance community to develop action plans to improve the health and well-being of all Montgomery County residents, especially groups most at risk for poor health.
