Dunkin Donuts Robbed at Knifepoint

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from April 20 through April 28.

A Dunkin Donuts store was robbed by a man with a knife early on Wednesday morning April 22. Police say the commercial armed robbery occurred at 5:00 am at the Dunkin Donuts at 19781 Frederick Road, in the Fox Chapel Shopping Center in Germantown.

According to police a black man of undetermined age wearing blue jeans, a gray sweatshirt, and his face covered with a black material entered the store and threatened a Dunkin Donuts employee with a knife and demanded money. Police report that about $1,600 in cash and $200 in coins were taken from the register.

MCPD also report a commercial burglary occurred at Our Personal Gardener in the area of Snowden Farm Parkway and Sweetspire Drive in early morning hours of Saturday, April 25. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 18400 block of Ashmeade Road in Germantown on Monday, April 27 at 2:50 a.m. No forced entry; property taken.

District Five Police report six thefts from vehicles which occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, April 23 may be related. The thefts occurred on Cricket Hill Drive, Smokewood Terrace, Sanderling Place, Kilmarnock Way and Ansel Terrace. In all of these cases force was used to enter the vehicles and property was taken.

Police arrested a 19-year-old black male in connection with three thefts from vehicles which occurred in the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 22 on Coachman Road and Ale House Circle. In these three incidents, there was forced entry and property was stolen.

MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on May 7.
