Miracle League Registration Open

Montgomery County Recreation has announced that registration is open for Spring season of The Miracle League, which plays games at the Washington Nationals Miracle Field located in South Germantown Park. The Miracle League gives children with disabilities the chance to play baseball.
Montgomery County Recreation to host a free Miracle League clinic for those with disabilities at Miracle Field in South. Germantown Park at 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 16.
The league is open to all children with special needs age 4 to 15 and plays on Saturdays from 10:30 am to noon, beginning April 18. Every child is given the opportunity to hit, kick and score. The league assigns “buddies” to assist the players. The Washington Nationals Miracle Field incorporates a cushioned synthetic turf surface that accommodates wheelchairs and other walking assistance devices, while helping prevent injuries.
