Three People Rescued From Clopper Lake

Montgomery County Fire Rescue units were called to Clopper Lake in Great Seneca State Park, off Clopper Road after three people, two adults and one child fell out of the boat they were in while on the lake.

MCFRS was called to Clopper Lake shortly before 5:30 pm on Saturday, April 11 after three people reportedly fell in the lake, according to MCFRS senior spokesman Pete Piringer. The fire department responded with technical rescue and water rescue units. Three people fell into the lake on the east side of the 90-acre lake.

Fire/Rescue launched two boats into the lake to rescue the victims, and additional EMS units were called to the lake to help treat and transport the two adults and one child with symptoms of hypothermia, according to fire officials.
