Police Identify Body Found in Little Seneca Lake



Montgomery County Police have identified the deceased woman which was found in Little Seneca Lake in Black Hill Regional Park last week as Lian Tio, 55, of the 18000 block of Coachmans Road in Germantown.

Detectives from MCPD-Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the death discovered on March 26 in the lake. Detectives are currently awaiting results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. There is no evidence of foul play.

Shortly before noon last Thursday, police and MCFRS were called to the area near the bridge over Little Seneca Lake on Clarksburg Road in Boyds for the report of a body in the lake. Clarksburg road was closed for several hours this afternoon at Barnesville Road as investigators and MCFRS personnel worked to recover the body near the bridge.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. Callers may remain anonymous.
