Police Investigate Body Found in Little Seneca Lake

Shortly before noon on Thursday, Mar. 26, Montgomery County Police and MCFRS were called to the area near the bridge over Little Seneca Lake in Black Hills Regional Park on Clarksburg Road in Boyds for the report of a body in the lake.

Montgomery County Police-Major Crimes Division is investigating a death that was discovered in Little Seneca Lake at Black Hill Regional Park.

MCFRS deployed rescue boats to recover the body of a deceased adult female. At this time, MCPD do not suspect foul play in the death. However, an autopsy will be conducted on the body, but MCPD will not release any further information at this time.

Clarksburg road was closed for several hours this afternoon at Barnesville Road as investigators and MCFRS personnel worked to recover the body near the bridge.
