Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service units and police were called to the scene of a car which partially crashed through the first floor of an apartment in Germantown on Tuesday night.

MCFRS were called to 20227 Halethorpe Lane, which is just off Scenery Drive in the Oak Mill Apartments, shortly after 10:00 pm on Tuesday night for a Toyota Avalon which jumped the curb, ran through bushes and up an short hill and into the first floor of an apartment narrowly missing a child who was sleeping just inside the wall where the vehicle made contact, according to MCFRS senior spokesman Pete Piringer.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident, and a building inspector was called to make sure that no structural damage was done to the building as a result of the accident.
