Police Report Four Sexual Assaults in Germantown Area

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from Feb. 16 to Feb. 24.

MCPD reported four unrelated sexual assaults in the Germantown area between February 16 and February 22.

The first sexual assault incident took place on Monday, Feb. 16 in the 20000 block of Summersong Lane in Germantown. The suspect in this case is known to the victim.

Another sexual assault incident took place on Wednesday, Feb. 18 in the 19700 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown between 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm. Again the suspect is known to the victim.

The third sexual assault incident took place in Clarksburg on Friday, Feb. 20 in the 24000 block of Burnt Hill Road in Clarksburg. Police have not released any further information about this incident.

The fourth sexual assault incident occurred in the 11000 block of Applegate Way in Germantown on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 1:00 am. Again, the suspect is known to the victim in this case.

A spokesperson for Montgomery County Police said that none of these sexual assault incidents are related.

An aggravated assault incident took place at 1:20 am on Thursday, Feb. 19 in the 18000 block of Bent Willow Circle in Germantown. The suspect in this case is known to the victim.

A burglary occurred at Martin Luther King Middle School at 13737 Wisteria Drive in Germantown on Friday, Feb. 20 at 1:30 pm. Police did not release any further details.

Police report an attempted residential burglary occurred in the 23000 block of Timber Creek Lane in Clarksburg on Friday, Feb. 20 at 8:20 pm. Attempted forced entry, but nothing was taken.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 19000 block of Running Cedar Court in Germantown on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 8:30 p.m. The suspect in this case is known to the victim.

Police are looking for three unknown males in their 20s, which may be responsible for two thefts from autos which occurred in Thursday, Feb. 19 between 3:00 am and 3:30 am on Deerwater Drive in Germantown. Police report that the vehicles were left unlocked and a GPS, speakers and cash were taken.

MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on March 9.
